Thank-you for visiting today. The mission of this website and the South Plains Corvair Club, located in Lubbock, Texas, is to advance the preservation and appreciation of those cars your parents, grandparents, or maybe you once drove - you know, those cars with air-cooled 6-cylinder engines, great handling, advanced engineering (even by today's standards), and plenty of character. Or, maybe you just think an american-built, "european inspired" car is "cool"... I drive one today because they get 25 MPG, have that great "classic" look, handle like a Porsche, and are inexpensive to own and maintain.
If you know anything about the Corvair, you know that they are unique cars that you can't always have serviced at the local garage. In order for a Corvair owner to truly enjoy their car(s) long-term, they will need help from time to time to keep their car in running order. We offer information, assistance, and fellowship to Corvair owners and admirers throughout the South Plains area, and beyond...
We even have some tune-up type parts on hand (all premium quality):
With more to come... For info, just send an e-mail to the address below.
You don't have to own a Corvair to join this club. All you really need a love of cars, and a desire to see these classic autos stay on the road. We may even be able to find a car for those who wish to drive "the most affordable classic car", but don't have a bottomless wallet.
